Slavo Hazucha That's a truckload of detail in 48-scale. Admirable clean quality & finish, the leather-effect on the belts is gorgeous... The cables behind the instruments make me curious what the plan on this project really is 🙂 Dream start, following with pleasure 👍

Patrick Hagelstein Well Slavo, the P-47 doesn't have a coaming over the instrument panel. From that triangular windscreen you can look into the area behind the instrument panel and that's where you would see those cables running out of all the instruments. 🙂

@Tim, thanks for the encouragement, but dio's are are not planned for the near future. I have too many planes that I want to build before delving into that. 🙂 The ICM figures look great, though.
Björn Svedberg I'm taking it slow with this build, it is such a joy to work with this excellent kit. 🙂 Engine and propeller are finished and I'm currently working on the Eduard details for the wheel wells.

A new update. I've just finished the base painting of the camo. Next will be masking and painting the red parts. Have to get the paint matched to the decals.. 😛
Slavo Hazucha Oh, that white line under the decal is a bit of a pain for sure - but really should be fixable... How will you get the yellow lashes behind the white though, is there another decal?

After some masking and another layer of white paint and clear, the decal is finally in place and I can start the masking of the rudder.

Another update. The tail plane has been painted and all the decals applied along with another layer of gloss coat before weathering. I'm currently working on the armament and I'm going for the ground attack version with the big extra tank, bombs and rockets.

I made a mockup of the plane in its current state. Next step will be weathering.
In hind sight I really should have masked and painted the markings. The carrier film of the decals is clearly visible in many places..
