This is unlike anything I've ever seen. I'm intrigued.

Me too! There are 10 of them in the Mobile Catering series, I'm planning on getting as many as possible. Here's a link to a webshop that has really cool product shots in each of their product pages. I also want the Ramen Shop, Sushi Truck, and Tribal Dummer. 1999.co.jp/eng/searc..hkey=Mobile+Catering

I figured the Blue Shark was big and awesome, so I'd go small and awesome with this one. 😄

Poor little truck looks like it was in the middle of a gunfight, lots of holes. lol

Funky little kit, mate. I have never seen it before. Ok, you have my attention now! 🙂

Ready player one...

Chris Greathouse
Welcome Tom. 😄 Clipped and sanded all whooping 46 pieces... It's almost laughable compared to my last project... But I wanted a fun easy peezy model after that. The little figurine had some serious mould lines... Also, it'll be the first figurine I've painted.

How I commonly attach pieces to skewers/toothpicks for the spray-booth, and drying block.

Thanks for sharing. I am definitely modifying my painting tactics. BETTER RESULTS!!!!

Toothpick art for all!! Pieces are primed, and now I'm separating colors for batch spraying.

They are the funnest to build 😄 Regular cars are fun too, but being able to say well there's something I haven't seen before, like Brad, Bozzer and Gordon above, is the best 😄

Everything is painted, next is secondary colors, gloss and decals.

Secondaries done, first coat of clear done, now it's decal madness for a second model in a row... but on a mini scale 😄 Watching the TV show Community while I wait a couple of hours for the clear to dry, then I'll probably put together at least a couple/few of the games... And I may give Bob his arms back if he's a good boy. 😛

Combat War frustrated me a bit. the holes in the decals for the barrel holster weren't quite large enough. Had to cut them and force the little buggers into place around the holsters.

Build Time!

Finished! It's just as fun as it looks on the box 😄 For the record, this is the 35th build since starting the hobby.

That is one Funky looking little spud ! You can definitely find some crazy stuff in Tokyo, been there a couple times and still probably only saw 10% of the wild and crazy stuff there ! Great Work Chris ! Keep em Coming !

Bozzer
That looks cool mate! Well done! It didn't take you long either? I'm definitely have to look out for a couple of these fun kits, for a break in-between the serious stuff. Nicely done mate🙂

Tom ...
What a fun kit! You're definitely on your game...

Thanks guys! I hope to go to Japan at least once before I go toes up. I really want to go to Akihabara (anime/otaku district). Bozzer... not long at all, but there's hardly any pieces, 46, I counted. This one had a bit of sticker madness going on, but you're putting together arcade machines, so it's a lot of fun... and easy... Especially after the Blue Shark. 😄 At the link in the top, there are a couple for sale, this was $25 shipped for me.

I have to see what colors I have most of, but I'll probably do the 1955 Mercedes-Benz 300 SL 'Gullwing' (AMT/ERTL 6871, 1:25) or Datsun 280 ZX Turbo (AMT 1043, 1:25)

And would you believe when I was a kid my dad had a Datsun 280Z in that Hideous brown on brown configuration, looked like a melted candy bar on wheels ! LOL !

Came out great Chris! My vote for the next one is the Datsun since my first car was the Datsun/Nissan (yes both brands were on the back) 1983 Maxima.

You build the coolest kits and they turn out great! I'm sooo close to ordering this, I've never seen anything like it!

Thank you and you should! It's a simple little kit, but it looks awesome on the shelf. All who look at my collection in person really like how fun it is. It was only $27 including shipping to the US from the website I linked at the top. The WOW factor makes it's totally worth it. 🙂 Cheers mate!

Also I didn't catch your comment Martin way back in April... Thanks!

Nice kit. Good job! I'll start building this today and I'am glad I saw your pictures. ^o^/

It looks really good in the flesh and something different. I have seen this kit and a fire engine and catering truck on eBay recently.
As to your next project Chris do a mash up of the Merc and Datsun !
