Matthew AI was working on some plans based on Huntley and Merrick and photos. And after spending a day at Hendon I think the the rebuilt Battle there has the wings from a trainer. Theirs an odd line on top near the flaps that may be for reinforcement on trainers and tugs.. Could do with some good above photos from Brussels to compare.

RobbieI have built the Airfix kit a couple of times many many moons ago and the one thing that had me stumped was what color was painted between the pilot and the tail gunner? I have seen it was camo'ed like the rest of the plane. I have seen it in interior green and some dark color (like are really dark grey). If I could ever figure out that mystery I might want to have another go at a Battle.
P.S - I have similar issue with the rear side windows on a P-40

F_IVHi Robbie, that had me puzzled for a long time too. I eventually discovered that the airframe was initially painted in Dark Earth overall at the factory (including the decking) before the canopy frames were attached. The Dark Green was applied later when assembly was largely complete, leaving the area between the cockpits DE.
