Ever considered using an airbursh? Easy to learn if you take the time to experiment before doing projects. Does require some stuff like a spray booth with ventilation though.

Careful Treehugger. Augie is better with a stick than many of us full with compressed air (me included) 😉
Nice work on the Hawkeye Augie 👍

Funny reaction Augie 😄! Great job so far, looks like a big one this Hawkeye. What's up with the canopy? Fits poor?

Thanks Erik 🙂, the canopy is not fitted properly yet hence the lines, the fit is pretty decent of some parts, horrific on others.

Some of us have an airbrush, but don't use it as well as you use your sticks. The capacity to buy one doesn't equal the quality of the output 😉

Hi Roland, Indeed, one from the shelf of shame, that I started and lost interest in. Will get her completed this tie around.

Hey Augie very nicely done! How was the build? I've got the Hawkeye 2000 in the stash I keep wanting to get a start on, seeing yours makes me think I should give it a go. I'm thinking it'll need a little weight up front to stay on its wheels.

Thanks Nathan 🙂

Chris, Its a dog.. sorry to say its one of kinetics earlier moulds so just about everything needs dry fitting.
The undercarriage is over engineered so is actually a nightmare to get together.

As for weight, mine ended up with 150g right behind to cockpit to get her to sit right and no on her arse.

dont let it put you off tho, it is worth it as its an eye catcher even in default markings.

Augie - I think it's great to see a woman in the hobby. I've tried talking my 14 yo daughter into it. She might start building cars. Great work on the Hawkeye.

Thanks Steve 🙂

Roland, yeah, its heading that way.. it was put in the pile of shame in quite advanced stage.

Maciej, Yeah 150g, she's got a really fat arse and the UFO over the top really does not help.

Beautiful Hawkeye Augie! That is a very attractive scheme as well. Well done!

Thanks Michael 🙂 a few bits left to do but once done she'll be much better. Having to let the blue on the nose dry before second coat so I can put the stars in place.
