The decal for the top of the container was the largest decal ever I applied (18x7cm). There were no problems because the excellent quality. Fortunately the carrier film (coat) were applied as the last layer. Because of this it was possible to sand away inclosed dust particles (under the decal) without damage to the colors.

In the kit the 12 hinges were missing so I had to make them out of scratch. All four locking bars were equipped with thin wire for attaching without problems. The long white bars at the top were made of 6 parts and applied in the same manner with 3 pieces of wire. The decal for the top of the container was the largest decal ever I applied (18x7cm). Just now I was celebrating the fact that the frame and small parts for my truck and some small pieces are finally dry. After "only" six days! Last Thursday I mixed H220 (Ferrari red) and H132 (Satin red) in equal parts and I overlooked the fact that Ferrari red is part of a new batch with a new formula. Guess what I think of the new formula: I am going to dump all the new tins...

Not possible to mix two batches of the same brand??? What a #€_& of a brand.....

Indeed for a long time the was the only one and state of the art. I remember more than 40 years ago I saw in Gdansk in Składnica harcerska (shop with modelkits, paints and a lot of other usefull things for kids) first time the humbrols. 10 PLN for each tin was a lot of money. For comparison: an average polish made kit in 1:72 cost at this time between 10-15 PLN....

Today I began the assembly and had a little bit to improvise because the base is standard Hino truck.

i remember it was the only one i had for quite some time back on similar ages... that and testors that was (for me at least) totally horrible... i still have some cans that are not used for more than 20 years. last time i checked them, they seemed still in good condition (incredibly )

Yesterday I finished my first Decotora truck, my first truck ever and noticed that the most time consuming task was the painting. This was the first project/model where I had to use chrome plated parts. I had despite the "small" scale (1:32) the truck is really big... Maybe I will build in the future one more of these unique and typically Japanese trucks.
