Christian Bruer Hello Björn, I build the kit in 2005 or 2006 as CVE-11 USS Card. I just remember it was a straightforward build without any big problems. I used some GMM PE for radar, mast and railing as well as some Tom's modelwork to detail the airwing.
If I would build her today, I would add some more PE or resin details, like Oerlikon's Bofors, new search lights, rafts etc.

Björn Leichsenring The hangar deck was varnished with Vallejo colors. Light gray on the walls and 5-N Navy Blue for the floor. In addition, the aces were attached to the lower platforms. The rails already hang on the platforms and only have to be bent upwards after painting. Whether good or not will show up during construction and painting. Various doors on the platforms will be added. The carriers in the bow area were glued to the upper deck to facilitate the painting.

Bart Goesaert that's a nice build so far. Makes me think about Marijn Van Gils little gems...
Can I ask why you will bend the railings after complete mounting and not before? I suppose it is for easier painting, but isn't there a big risk for damaging them?
