Great looking. Especially the propeller.

Another one of your sensational hay-wire circuits, Frank!👍
The best detail is the basketwork in the wings.
But the brushed aluminium look of the cowling is great as well.

You all find such nice words for my model, I had to lookup in a dictionary, because I don't no yet this english words! Thank you very much!😉
@Choppa in 1/48 there is at least the DH-2 from Eduard, which is one of the models on my desk right now. But still a looong way to go! Today I'm doing the 4-blade wooden propeller.

I nearly bought the Dr.I. but at 1/72 it is just too small for my eyes
I had seen the DH-2 and is a lovely model but I wish there was more choice in 1/48, like the Dr.I. 😄

Thank you Andrea, also for digging this older model😉 So it can also earn some likes, which were not available some years ago 👍

You made a lot of strip down models, I will give you more likes for sure! did you soldered them?
23 November 2020, 18:07
bughunter
Yes the strip down models are the only ones in 1:72. Eduard produced six, but the Camel (that is a beast!) and the Fieseler Storch are not yet finished/done. The other ones are from Aerobase Japan. As far as possible I soldered the parts for robustness. Only to assemble the painted sub modules I used CA.
The strip down put my attention to the WWI aircrafts, so after the Fokker Dr.I I moved to that biplane business in 1:48😉

Ummm... this might be a bit embarrassing... but I think you forgot to put any clothes on the plane... it's styill naked!

Greg, if you want to avoid this, in the Preferences of your account there is a check box "Hide content containing nudity"😉

I didn't say I was against nudity... but it's winter time here in Canada... I'm worried that Fokker is going to catch a chill!
24 November 2020, 23:41
Lochsa River
AWESOME...
25 November 2020, 00:12
Bart Goesaert
Well, if he didn't catch a chill, he's shrunk considerably..

This Fokker is not going to catch a chill in the closed glass cabinet. But I always think of the pilots who sat in the open cockpits of this old struts in the airflow of the propeller even in winter. I can't imagine how you can endure that!
2 December 2020, 18:17
Bart Goesaert
Well given the choice between enduring or being shot....
2 December 2020, 20:03
Andrea Brenco
or dig a trench...
