You're much to fast for me. I just add the project and some photos but you do not let me time to add the text😉

Thx Stephan and Stefan for your kind comments🙂

Well here are now some information about this project.

For a couple of month ago I start this little project. The gun was already painted and a wash with oils was applied. So far it need some drying time so I put it away for a while.
The gun is finished now. I applied a basic coat of dark green and use dark brown oils for a wash. All highlights are made with basic acrylic dark green brightened with off white. For the rest I use some red brown pastels.
Next I will start with the figures and some bits and pieces.

Thx Lex🙂 I paint some 54mm Civil War figures in the past with Vallejo acrylics. I will use the same colour and method for these tiny figures. I tried it with some scale 1/76 for a while and that worked quite well. Not an expert with figure painting but it is ok for me.

I build a limber to display together with my 12 pdr. Napoleon gun. The Limber is from Germania and made of resin. Just a few parts and easy to build. I added some brass rod for rings and bolts. The limber was painted by airbrush using Vallejo Model Air No. 71017.

The figures, also from Germania, got a basic coat of grey. I use different Vallejo Model Color to paint the jackets, trousers, blousons etc. They got just the first basic coat of paint. All the shadings and highlighting will be done later.

I try to paint it as close as possible following graphics and illustrations in some books about Civil War uniforms and arms.

The limber got a wash with thinned oils. I still have to wait some days before I start cleaning and highlighting the wash and finish the paintwork. Meanwhile I finished the figures. I'm not that expert but I'm really confident with the result.

Figures and limber are finish. I tried a little bit to find the best setting for the gun, limber and figures to tell a small story of the crew on a rest for the coming night.
Next I will start with the landscape and scenery.

Today I finished this small scenery. I went back to a small base instead of a larger one. I bought a base made of an old table leg. This one fit perfect for a little scenery. I used Green Line plants in scale 1/72 for the first time and was impressed by the eassy handling and the natural look. I used Fimo plaster to build up the basic. The basic was covered with dark earth colour and and strewen with fine sand. Again a mixture of dark and brown earth was airbrsuhed before tuft of grass was applied. All was airbrushed again with different sahdes of greens. Rest was to arrange the plants, cannon, limber and figures.
I'm really happy with it and I hope you like it too.
