Great work, Christian! Love the weathering! Are the figures from Preiser?

The waterbase and a bollard is in progress. I have added acrylic gel to simulate small waves and weaks after I had stippeld and painted the water. Even though I applied the gel in thin layers it need a long time to dry. Next step is a further coat of color before the surface could be sealed with high gloss varnish.

That looks amazing, can you show us something that shows us the real size of that (i guess) very small sub?

Hi Vitor, no problem to hijack my album MMhh, my Typ XXIII is a little bis smaler than yours, it is in scale 1/144 😉 I guess yours is in scale 1/20?! Cheers, Christian

I like this very much, and the figures add to the realism. Very interested to see how it develops.

Is this one really that big Vitor? Your post doesn't give a scale size...

Hi Christian, perfect work! Just two questions: Where did you got the decals for the post war variant? Are there any photos of this boat without the modifications on the turret which were done later?

Hi Christian, the decals are from ICMs Typ XXIII. I noticed that later and bought also the ICM kit. In my opinion the Trumpeter kit is the better one but lacks the Bundesmarine decals. There are several photos to find in the www. without the modifications on the sail. Search for U Hai and U Hecht as example and you will find some photos. My boat is a bit of a guess work because I did not modify the bow as seen on some photos. May it could be that this was modified a bit later after the boat was commissioned for Bundesmarine 😉

Thank you for the quick answer. I did the Trumpeter kit and liked it. modellversium.de/gal..xxIII-trumpeter.html
So I think next thing will be a Bundesmarine Boot with the modifications.
