Can anybody confirm that the rerelease of this kit ( from 2014) comes with DS tracks instead of Magic Tracks?

Any ones I came across online for sale still have magic tracks....I guess it's unknown whether they are rereleases though....

Even the Dragon homepage shows Magic Tracks, but someone on missing-lynx wrote that he bought the kit recently and it came with DS tracks.

Pretty lame. They can't even change the damn box?!

Yes I can confirm, as with all rerelases Dragon changed the tracks to DS

Worst thing is these came warped to hell. Also bad details. Like srsly bad, Stug III (finnish one) with black rubber band has better detailing. Always ask for inboxes. Has DS? No buy from me.

At least in the latest boxes they wrap them around the edges so they don`t get warped to hell. Now we have to wait another year until they put the PE frets at the bottom of the box and not just throw them in there.

@HK ...if they still include PE next year. At least that would match Dragons pattern. It´s a shame buying one of their kits has become nothing other than a gamble...

PE came bent but not so badly. Few minutes between 2 planks and all is fine. Still, I`m off Dragon for the moment. Unless i find some older kit. Nothing from the shelf. Just massively dissapointing. I suggest rest of us does the same. We don`t deserve that.

I agree..I only buy old DML kits that have been vetted. That includes not only original kits with the goodies but also avoiding incorrect mix n match kits like the DAK panzer IV with incorrect idlers, STUGs on incorrect Ausf chassis etc.

Seems that Dragon is saving on clear sprues so I have no sight for the s.IG 33 in scalemates.com/kits/955822-d..m-s-ig-33-sfl-auf-pz-kpfw-ii
( visible in the reviews of the original kit) Hooray!
Btw. can anyone confirm that there were Jerrycans in the original release of this kit? ( you guessed it, none in my box 🙂 ) ( also visible in reviews of the first release)

Hi H K,

6 jerry cans in the original kit 6440 (sprue N 2x), sights for the s.IG are on clear sprue K. I will upload the instruction sheet of the original kit hereafter.

This probably Dragon's revenge to all those complaining about too much parts. Now they take them out, even those needed...

Hi H K, original instructions are uploaded: scalemates.com/products/img/6/7/0/122670-85-instructions.pdf

Thanks Frank.
Neither N sprue nor clear sprue ( and no mention of it in the instructions) in the rerelease.
Well, I should fall on my knees and thank the Dragon overlords that they didn`t remove the metall barrell for the s.IG 😄

I like many parts. If I want less i go for Tamiya. I don`t get it, don`t they (at DML) like money? Seems so stupid to downgrade their kits if they are known for having good (even excellent) OOB kits.

What's even more irritating is the kits are waaay more than they are worth when they re-release without the goodies! I understand rising costs - that's fine - but downgrading a kit that is more expensive than an all new tooled kit from their competitors? Ridiculous!

I can take a slight blow in cash. In my currency it would go from 150 PLN to 200 PLN (38$ to 64$) would be just fine WITH the goodies. AFV club has good kits with awesome goodies for similar price. Why would i go for dragon then? It is bloody ridiculous.

Take care with the Dragon Bison II. There are many issus with this kit. From the first # the widh from the chassis was way too small. The gun mount is wrong, Fug-radio,etc pp. I have one from the 2#, Dragon had corrected one big issue with the small chassis.
