I thought the neutral gray might be a little too dark, so I took some photos outside in sunshine. Looks okay to my eyes ...

Thank you Vegard! It's my first time using photo etch. Not exactly my favorite medium to work with, but I like the finished result. It's something that will help improve my skills.

Hehe, I feel the same way about photo etch. Haven't worked that much with it though, but it's fun to see the results. What kind of glue do you use for your PE parts? The only compatible glue I got dries in 2-3 seconds, making it even harder to work with.

It's a nice kit. Ordered the AVM upgrade to correct the bulge at the landing gear, but hasn't been delivered after 2 months... I want to make the ecuadorian version when (if) it arrives...

Hi Vegard. I used UHU por, in the green and yellow tube. I was going to use Cyanoacrylate, but the stuff I had was too thin. The UHU, placed in small drops on the PE, worked better than I expected. I then sealed everything with KLEAR (Future) the next day.

Hi Bart. Good to know about the AVM upgrade. In looking at photos of the EMB-314 cockpit, the HB kit's detail is lacking, especially the sidewalls and seats. I wish I could find some decals for the MB seats to give a little more life to them!

Nice progress. will you also make some changes like removing the anti-slip ribbons on the right wing and so on before painting? I know that Eduard has some update sets for this one, cockpit as well as exterior, but they also use the cockpitpanel with the 2 MFD's (multifunction display) instead of 3. The seatbelst are nice though... These should be an easy addition. when going to the eduard site you can download the PDF-files and see what you can add if you want...

Hi Kenneth!
Thats a good looking Embraer! The seats look a lil bit rudimentary to me. Are the Seatbelts included? The fit issues on the wingroots are disappointing, indeed... What markings will you apply?
This are enough questions, so far!😢 Keep the pix coming🙂

Cheers Holger

The seats are a bit disappointing. The seat belts came with the kit, but aren't really correct if you look at reference photos. I have some decals that will add a little bit more detail. Since I had planned to enter it in out-of-box, I can't really add the Eduard set. I did sand off the anti-slip ribbons on the right wing. It's a shame how many details Hobby Boss messed up or missed on this one, but at least they had the courage to do it! I will be doing the stock FAB scheme.

Hey Kenneth, what's the status of your build...Iam very curious?

Hey Jos! Unfortunately there hasn't been any progress since the last 2 photos posted. I really need to get this one finished, but I'm currently working on 3 different group builds. Hopefully by Summer time, since I want to bring it to the IPMS convention. Thanks for asking!

Okay, thx for your reaction. The reason I asked, recently I've ordered this kit and I was curious of the final reveal. The colored you used are in my opinion spot on! I'll wait and stay tuned mate...! Good luck at the IPMS convention (which convention, where?).😎
