Finally all parts printed. Still more cleanup necessary before I can cure everything under UV light.
I had to reprint most parts several thimes. The only exception was the torso.

The legs also had to be reprinted because of the ball joints. Printing them didn't work out either, had the same problem with its arms.
After adding more supports to stabilize the round structure it worked out well.
Some of the supports are badly placed and fused to some of the parts. I need to remove them and clean them up, too.

Also some parts are again slightly warped, which is a nuisance but I will keep the parts now. I am still figuring things out with 3d printing.
In addition resin is not exactly cheap and it takes some hours to print everything.

I am thinking about showing this 'Mech fight another in a bit more detailed diorama.

Can't recall everything… is it from StarCraft II? Looks so interesting.
Have you played a game called Titan fall, this reminds me of the robot man in that game 😎

Hi, it's the Marauder from the Battletech/Mechwarrior Games.

Yes, I played Titanfall. It was a lot of fun. 👍 🙂 It has some very cool mech designs as well. Would be cool if Bandai got the rights to make some model kits of those, like Master Grade or High Grade Gundams.

Very coooool....what printer and resin do you use?

Robin (WhiteGlint)
Welcome gents 🙂
Markus, I use Anycubic's Photon Mono and Photon Mono X as well as their line of Eco (plant-based) resin.
Didn't try anything else yet but so far it works very good.

Though I don't like this redesign, it looks promissing. BTW have you seen the other 3d model for printing with classic look. I'd love to build one. artstation.com/artwork/QzXBA3

Wow, that Marauder looks great!
This guy is pretty amazing.
Have you also seen his classic Vulture artstation.com/artwork/A9rJmy or his Uziel artstation.com/artwork/4bX3ak?

Thank you very much for sharing, Dmitri 🙂 👍

I will resume working on this soon as I was not happy with the paintjob, so some repainting is in order.

Yes I have. And I wand them badly. I guess I have to contact this guy, he's amazing. Good luck with the repainting.

Good luck my friend. 👍
I hope he offers you the .stl files. To be honest I really want to build at least the Uziel, it's one of my many favourites. 😄
Please tell me if you are successful, I think I'll have to contact him too.

Alright done.
While repainting and weathering of one of my favourite 'Mechs was tons of fun, assembling this thing was not. The resin easily breaks at the joints and I am still figuring out how to avoid that.

In order to pose the mech how I wanted it, I had to use some Greenstuff, which you can also see in some pictures. I only just realized that it is so visible in some pictures.
For camo I decided to do a bit of a winter theme and it is loosely based on the winter camo put on the Abrams tank during the 80's I believe.

Making the snow look believable is not easy task and I am not entirely happy with it, but it's good enough.
My deepest respect for the guys who manage to create awesome looking winter dioramas.

With this cool machine finished, there are some more Battlemechs in the pipe, some time in the future.
Like a Shadow Cat or the Bushwacker.

Thanks for stopping by.
Cheers!

Wow, big thing!
Your 3d work is awesome!
Like the base, fits very well tothe rest of the area;)

Thank you guys. 🙂
Much appreciated.

In case of the base I used the acrylic snow paste from AK Interactive. With help of some water it is relatively easy to get a smooth snow surface. You are able to create a lot of different types of snow with it, depending on how you use it. I am happy you like the result, Simon.

But I think I need to apologize. I cannot do any 3D construction or modelling.
At least not on the computer. 😉
Here is the source where I got the STL files from: gambody.com/3d-model..or-marauder-3d-model

Rest assured, if I really manage to create parts on the computer myself, I will proudly tell you.
Until then you can be sure that I downloaded the files of every 3D printed model I build from somewhere else.
Maybe I should put the source of the files for future projects always in the description or my first comment, to avoid possible confusion. Sorry. 🤔
