Today the project starts with a few construction photos, I already started last week. I may say that this is my contender for the "kit of the year", Eduard has outdone itself. Not only in the lush design, but also in the categories of accuracy of fit and attention to detail. I think I will be able to enjoy this build entirely 🙂

A step forward: on one Zlin you can see the glossy black primer for the Alcald "White Aluminum", on the other one the preshading for the white/blue paint. I'm curious to see how both will look!

Me too 😉 Indeed, it looks like these are troublefree, quick build, models.

I've been a bit photo-lazy the last few days, but: both Zlin are in the home stretch... and OK-LMG will probably make it first. This was -and is- a most enjoyable double project, not only because of the colourful variety!

Both look cool already - watching with pleasure!

What, finished already?
In the time it takes me to think about a new project, you've already finished the aircraft! 👍
Did you remove the carrier film from the decals after applying them?

Well, Eduard makes it really easy with these well-equipped feel-good kits, which are also really inspiring! This was planned as a little rest between demanding projects- and it worked, I have to say.

No, I didn't peel off the backing, but also because I didn't know that was possible. A friend told me about it the day before yesterday, but by then it was too late. However... the decals are a bit tricky and can only be applied with extreme care, but they stick so well that it is a pleasure.
How would the removal of the carrier film work?

I would like to present the finished model of the first Zlin. This morning I was able to take a few pictures, where I was also able to try out new photo backgrounds from Coastal Kits. The situation in the hanger requires some shielding work, as the light is not allowed to fully illuminate an interior, but all in all it was great fun! 🙂
I hope you like the little Zlin!

I reported about it in my newest build log of the new Eduard Camel, as this is my first kit with the new decal style. I followed strictly the description in Eduard Info journal May 2021 (see home page).

Looks absolutely realistic - the photos in the hangar look like it was a real plane!

That was a quick build, and it looks awesome! I have the same box, but I am still in the research phase. It will take a while before I see the finished model in my hand, but seeing your build will keep the motivation level high.
