Hunter Cummins Any finished models from you yet??
28. September 2014, 18:37
james johnson finishing up Tamiya 35020, I think I paid $5 for..........I'm way out of practice, total screwed up the painting sequence but managed to hack through it! I paid about $4 for 35070 and am looking forward to the build...probably work on one of the aircraft from my stash first.......looking at maybe the Ju-87 or the ME-410......just read Robert Johnson's "Thunderbolt" so I'm kind of leaning towards any of the aircraft that were within that book......

Hunter Cummins Nice can we see pictures?? And what do you mean messed up painti g sequence???? Your KV is amazing !!
28. September 2014, 19:09
james johnson well, though not etched in stone, there is a preferred sequence regarding the application of base coat, primary coat, filter, gloss varnish, decals, satin varnish, oils, pin wash then dull coat..........i got them all screwed up, I think I went: base coat, primary coat, gloss varnish, decals, dull coat, oils, satin varnish, pin wash or something like that......anyway, just got an email from my cheap model source who says he has the USS New Jersey for me......so all aircraft and armor are on hold until I tackle my first ship in ages!

Hunter Cummins Good luck on the ship!!!!!!! I have been dying for one :) lol
