Ron Garcia Had this model in my stash FOREVER. Definitely not state of the art. Raised panel lines, ECM pods attached to the pylons, decals for the instrument panels, etc. The worst offense is that the top and one side of the nose wheel well is open. I have no idea why they did this. I used some styrene to block it off. Good thing I did so because it required a TON of weight to get the plane to sit on its wheels. I believe this model is based on the prototype so I painted mine as Preproduction Aircraft 1. Used the kit supplied stores. They look OK. I've read that this model isn't very accurate, but it looks like an A-10 to me. I have another one in my stash that I'm going to complete, but having said that, I don't recommend this kit. It's just too old and should be retired.
Kevin Farrell I have new custom lead counterweight casted by Terry Dean for the Tamiya A-10A. I loaned Terry my kit as a template for the mold and he was kind enough to send me an extra slug. I will be happy to pay this forward to the first person who asks! Terry's email address for his other custom counterweights: email@example.com
Tim Vereecke I'm not an expert, but I think the Italeri/Revell ones are much better. The Tamiya A-10 is a very old kit and not the quality we know of them today. So double check. Maybe someone can confirm?

Tim Vereecke I tried to find a review on the web but couldn't find one. Has the upgrade still the raised panel lines?

Maik Gockel Well, good to know. What i know about Italeri is not the best. All the Kits i have build were not so good. But maybe i only bought the false kits.
