Roy McKay Where can I get one of these that won't cost me more in shipping than the kit will???

Curtis Caden Roy, Too bad your in Ireland. If you were in the States, I probably could get you connected. Revell kits have a great distributor in our area and one of the members of our IPMS club has his own hobby shop in his garage and gives us all great deals. On the other hand, maybe you want the real car. I love the changes Ford has made to the suspension and some real horsepower for such a small displacement.

Roy McKay Actually I want both. Kit and real car. I know this is a basic curbside model and I guess Revell will do a full detail kit in future. But I would still like one of these as most of my model cars are displayed with wheels on the ground and hoods closed! And usually only in my house!

Real Mustang is coming to Europe and RHD models will be on sale here. Price of fuel and probable emissions taxes mean 3.7 V6 is out and V8 probably wont even be imported. Ecoboost turbo then.

However, the base price of an entry level Ford Focus here is €20K, that's $25K in US$. A Focus in US is US$16,800, thats only €13.5K.

Worse, (but a better comparison for my purposes) is the new Mondeo, AKA your Fusion, starts at €30K, or $37.5K in your money as opposed to $22k for you. For a quick and easy comparision, then if the Mustang starts at around $25K then I'm looking well north of €42-45K for one with a bit of spec. That's BMW 3 (and nearer 5) series money. For a Ford? Hope I'm wrong though.

Curtis Caden Check out this great article on the 2015 Mustang!

Chuck Most It's a VERY simple kit, but it "cleans up pretty well" as they say. I should put up some pictures of the one I built.

Curtis Caden The 2015 Mustang comes standard with a capable 300-horsepower V-6 or the more fuel-efficient EcoBoost inline-four (which actually makes 310 horsepower, thanks largely to turbocharging). But buyers who can afford it will opt for a Ford Mustang GT, whose V-8 is now rated at 435 horsepower and 400 lb-ft of torque. Although it displaces 302 cubic inches, this isn't the 5.0-liter of yore. It's a new iteration of the all-aluminum, four-cam Coyote engine, and it's a sweet piece of work, not only generating serious speed but also making all the right noises.

Roy McKay Well I was wrong on the price, and also went in the wrong direction with regards to the full size car. It's now on sale in Ireland. The list price on the 2.3 ecoboost is €49,600. While it is well equipped, another €2,500 can be spent on the limited options pack. The 5.0 V8 GT is a whopping €68000, and there's one for sale with the options pack for an eye-watering €72.600.
(That's $82,785 and 10cents in US currency...)
The annual road tax on the 5.0 is a further €2,600 per year....

By the way, I got 2 of the kits on ebay. Still cost me nearly €30 though...
