Saw an exhibition of the mangaka's watercolour cover artwork at the Manga Museum in Kyoto in 2019. So beautiful! Picked up a karuta deck in Tokyo at a karuta specialty shop; owner spotted the Canadian flag and anime pin on my brother's backpack and asked "are you Canadian otaku?" LOL - proudest day of my life 🤣
