While at first blush it would seem a strange decision to have these as photoetch rather than decals, it is actually a really good idea. The DESRON emblems on real ships are actually on big metal plates attached to the side of the superstructure so these pieces add a realistic depth to them. I also like the idea of photoetch over decals since they'll be much easier to attach after everything is assembled and painted.

Tee printing itself is excellent and I am very impressed with the level of detail. The set also includes some ribbon racks to put on the bridge wings of the ship. If you look closely enough you can identify the real ribbons, so these aren't just blotches of color, but real ribbon racks drawn up from photos of three different USN ships.
