Built for Sue's cousin Tommie who wanted the Guadalcanal pilot, Robert Petit, who loaned the plane to Rex Barber for the mission.

Super kit? The Academy P-38?

I just started the Eduard resin cockpit pieces .... Seems pretty nice to me ...so far. I guess I'll find out. Is the Academy portion of the kit not good Soren?

Resin from Eduard is to 99% really good, but the kit itself can butthurt a lot

Soren: The plastic kit was not as good as I had hoped. I thought the major problem was the instructions. Even now I'm not sure how I would know which boom was the left and right one. The canopy was not thought out well and there was not an option to have the canopy open. Which was regrettable after all the resin and photoetch pieces and work I put into the cockpit. That being said, the model turned out really well and is a very impressive addition to my office shelves.
