Somua SAu 40
French Gun Motor Carriage

This is a replica of the Somua SAu 40, a French Gun Motor Carriage (sort of) that was under development shortly before Nazi Germany invaded France. There still are photos of the prototype with a strange and probably unfinished paint job and although we don't know much about its actual capabilities, it seems that it was integrated into a battalion of Somua S-35 cavalry tanks during the later stages of the invasion.
