Only problem so far is that the two openings for the split windshield are different in size and shape...
That's a fun vintage kit
Still filing away at the windshield openings...
Good Morning, Mark Only one photo!!! Fascinated with the kit/build. Please keep posting!! Catch Ya, Logan

It seemed easiest to attach both upper wing surfaces first, but we shall see soon enough whether that was a good idea.

I see you are into 1/87 Jordan Products vehicles. Are you an HO model railroader? I was at one point and I have plenty of kits left-over. When I saw your "Started" with the 1923 truck, my brain twigged that I have something in that line that I have never used. I searched for it and found it: 1920 Ford Center Door Sedan (model #360-226). Since my era was 1970-1980s, I never found a use for this. You can certainly have it if you want! Let me know!
Thanks for the offer - I do have a small switching module, which is mostly an excuse for getting Sunshine Models and Westerfield kits (and even building some). That said, my era is supposed to be 1940-1955, so the 1920 sedan is not really a good fit for me, either...

Good Morning, Mark Okay, I'll bite!! Where did this one come from???? A 1955 kit of a Kenworth Semi??? How cool is that?? Catch Ya, Logan
Perhaps not surprisingly, it came out of the basement. If memory serves, I got it when I was 11 years old - so i figure it's time to build the thing.

I have one in my stash, but I am very reluctant to commence assembly (quality of the mouldings is...hmm...). Keep my fingers crossed and taking a seat🙂
BTW, if you would need reference photos, I was at the museum like two years ago and took quite a lot of photos in the "Prototypes hall".
Thanks for your interest! The mouldings are indeed abysmal - so this may take some time. Your offer of photos is most welcome but The first task will be to clean up the parts and see if they actually fit together...
You are welcome - this is a fantastic subject, so much different from the next generations' jets. In the kit I own, one of the intake lips is practically non-existent. BTW, the model depicts a different machine than the one displayed at Le Bourget - this one does not have the "main" intake in the lower front - I suppose you have already noticed that🙂
Yes, I did see the difference - but I liked the photo.
Have changed the photo to conform with the model.
Now if only I can get the model to conform with the photo... 🤨
I am sure you can. I have few Mach 2 kits in my stash, and even two under my belt (namely SeaDart and Coleoptere) and these were, let me say, acceptable...I have started work on Bell X-2, however, and... I am waiting for the Kovozavody offering (it simply cannot be worse than Mach 2, and surely will have much better decals and stencils🙂) But with respect to Triton...let's face it...I do not expect any other manufacturer will produce a kit of it.
BTW, it is still not the same machine pictured🙂 The one in the box features the ear-inlets too...I am sorry, if I am annoying you with that... Simply, I have a book by T Buttler and J-L Delezenne "X-Planes of Europe" on my shelf and there is a chapter on Triton(s) in it - that's why I am so pert here... I could make scans for you, if you wish...

Good Morning, Mark Very very nice finish, the paint/weathering brings a lot of interest on such a straightforward and uncomplicated kit. As with a lot of models, "less is MORE". Catch Ya, Logan
Thanks! The whole thing was brush-painted, which of course left some streaks and imperfections, but I think it worked out well enough in the end.
