E-100 Amusing Hobby Night Fighter

This is the fifth in my series of "What If" German heavy tanks, an E-100 by Amusing Hobby which is modeled with the Krupp proposed turret.
The most notable addition was the infrared searchlight which was a modified Bronco Models standard searchlight. I cobbled up a styrene platform and added it to the back of the turret as it would have been done in the field.

The Infrarot scopes are by Bronco and i added some cast turret balls to the side divets which were blank on the proposed turret but, hey, "what if" .

The tracks are from the box and this is the first set of workable tracks I've had that were not particularly delicate but not as robust to work with as Friuls or similar. As such, much super glue and care had to be applied as they were applied to the tank. The sprockets with paint and the tracks also with paint did not fit well, next time I will file the teeth down significantly to ease this process.

I used my standard application of rust with sponge, using numerous shades of acrylic rusts and dark iron followed by pin and other washes with thin lacquer paints and rust streaking with my new Mig Rust Streaking Brusher.
The figure is resin, I'm not sure who made it or when I got it. I paint my figures using a base coat of Tamiya flat white allowed to cure for 24 hours. I then apply extremely thinned enamel paints in the manner used for water color, i.e. let the wash and flow work with the existing detail on the figure, settling into the creases and low areas while gently giving a light hue of the actual color.
