Everyone is building F-4's or F-16's. I don't like building these very much. That's why I used to make russian planes, now everybody makes these too. Not many people like Eurofighter, therefore I decided to build this plane. That's why I bought nearly 20 Eurofighter kits in 32, 48, 72 and 144 scales, and I will establish a fleet. But there is an important detail, these will always be special camouflage aircraft. This is the second time after the Eurofighter with the BoB (G.NA) camouflage I made 5 years ago. This time I didn't make the mistakes I made the first time. I haven't had any major problems with the air intakes that everyone is complaining about. The only problem was that the effect called "silvering" appeared in the application of "decal on decal", but I will deal with it on the next plane. I think it's a nice and attractive plane, what do you think?

Next Typhoon :
It's time to do Black Jack for the fleet of Eurofighter demonstration planes I'm building. This aircraft has British flag motifs throughout. Revell has again introduced the model of this aircraft, which has a very prominent visual appearance, to the market.
This is again a typical Revell Eurofighter kit and is always produced from the same mold, only the decals and the manual change accordingly. For some reason, the manufacturer does not take into account some details in the manual. For this reason, the modeler needs to pay great attention to some details when making this kit.
First of all, we need to talk about the injection quality. There are obvious signs of wear on this mold, which has been used for I don't know how many times, because it is possible to see a few burrs in many places. Fortunately most of these are visible on the ammunition frames, while the frames containing parts of the actual aircraft are relatively clear. Since demonstration aircraft generally use nothing extra other than an underwing fuel tank, almost all of the ammunition supplied with the kit goes into the spare parts box, which means about half of the total plastic. Anyway, no harm. I know many modelers who would complain about this if they didn't include ammunition.
Let's get to the guide. The body color of the aircraft is jet black except for its back and vertical stabilizers. That's how I painted it. However, a problem that I would never have thought of arose during the decals. The company did not print the white on the decal of the auxiliary wings called canard. All decals have a white section, these do not. In this case, the white of the flag will be replaced by black. I also wetted the decal. Under terrible stress, I carefully disassembled the parts, masked the leading edges, first applied white primer, then gloss varnish on top, and waited for it to dry. Fortunately, the decals did not crumble during this time. Later, when I looked carefully at the manual, I saw that they gave a white color code for those parts. Such nonsense is rare. 90% of those who build this model will fall into the same trap, I'm sure of it. I don't understand why they make things so difficult.
We continue with decals. There are decals under the wing, each left and right, each piece is huge and you need to be very careful. Thanks to my experiences from the previous aircraft, I left the installation of the underwing parts until after the decal, it was a good decision. However, there is a big mistake in these decals. Neither can they extend to the tips of the wings (they are about 1 cm short), and the skirts on the flap are too long and hang out. I cannot understand how such a mistake could happen in something that was made with such care. While I was wondering if I had done something wrong, I saw that many people were complaining about the same issue. In competitions, this must be documented very well, otherwise the jury will be mistaken.
Let's talk about the shortcomings of the guide. First of all, this plane has FLIR, and the parts are available, but they are not shown in the manual. Apparently, the German Eurofighters that did not use FLIR were taken as standard and the variations were completely skipped. Secondly, this plane actually has a single fuel tank, which is under the fuselage, but there is neither a mark/hole on the plastic for under-fuselage placement nor any mention of this in the manual.
My last word is for those who complain that the air intakes of this model have problems. Yes, it requires some careful work, but there is nothing that cannot be overcome if you are careful. In my model, you will not see that there is a combination of parts there. Moreover, those who make Tamiya 1:48 F-16C have a much harder job in this respect, but for some reason I have never heard anyone complain about it.
I think that's enough criticism for now. I enjoyed building this plane and I get better results each time. The next Eurofighter will be the Bronze Tiger, followed by the 1:32 Typhoon.
