Album info
One of my first builds. Finished the model a long time ago, and added weathering a few years later.
Together with Carro Armato M13/40 medium tank, Semovente M40 da 75/18 was the workforce of Italian forces in North Africa during WW2. It was developed by the Ansaldo on the chassis of the M13/40 medium tank.
It was initially developed as a support vehicle for the infantry assault units. However, it was mostly used as a tank destroyer and medium tank and it compared positively in this role to the other Italian tracked vehicles.
This model represents a vehicle belonging to the 132nd Armored Division "Ariete", sometimes during 1942.
