Nice 👍 The old Monogram kits offer a lot of detail and certainly a chance to improve your modeling skills as you deal with fit issues. I like to take a break with a Tamiyagawa kit that falls together after finishing one!

Indeed. I had a lot hobby time for my money. The only real down size I see is that the resin is very hard and doesn't allow the glue to penetrate far in.

As a result, I had the bound halves of the fuselage craked while I was doing my pre-shading.

Thank Thomas! I wish I had put a little less paint on my last green layer. I kind of lost a lot of the pre-shading. IRL you can still see it trough but it i's not as dramatic a I wished.

It's a very good kit if you put a bit of effort. It can also give incredible results if you put a lot of work on it.

I kind of make me want to build a line up of US WW2 bombers. Unfortunately 1/48 take a lot of place...

Album info

A summer project I started late (September). I hope be able to finish it before it too cold to paint outside as it is too big to fit un my paint booth. For a 70's mold, I must says that it as a lot of details. Also have a lot of raised panel lines & fitment issue to be adjusted. A lot of fun for a model that didn't cost me a lot.
