Impressive paint job! Looks like a bigger scale.
I fully understand your praise of the kit, as I know the rotary engines of this manufacturer.
You should link it to the kit to not be lost in the newsfeed.

Thank you my mates! I really appreciate all the encouragement and nice words. It was really an enjoyable build - no need to fight the kit, so all energy invested on an interesting finish.

Album info

This is a model of the main rival to the more famous I-16 Soviet fighter plane. It was one of the most advanced monoplanes of its time, with all metal monocoque construction, retractable landing gear and heavy armament of two 45 mm Kurchevsky APK-11 recoilless cannons and two ShKAS machine guns. Series production of the I-14 started, but was canceled after only a small number had been built, in favor of already mentioned Polikarpov I-16.

ANT-31 was developed in the Tupolev design bureau by a team led by Pavel Sukhoi. As such, it is often called both Tupolev and Sukhoi.

If Tamiya made resin kits, this could be one of them. It is practically without faults. Even the undulating stressed skin, so much hyped on the new 1:32 Lanc by Border Models, is present here but in a much more petite scale.

I've decided to build a model of the prototype of I-14bis as it appeared in 1934, mainly for its flamboyant art-deco colors. It is an extremely small model when finished but certainly an eye-catcher. Hope you like it!
