The fit of the 3 fuselage parts (left, right and roof) is ok. As usual I used Tamiyas CA as filler and spend only an half hour for finishing.
![Album image #8 Album image #8](/albums/img/5/4/9/720549-14143-79-720.jpg)
The windshield fits good: only minor correction on the side panels of the fuselage were necessary.

The spruce with all control surfaces is out of register...🙁. Because of them you have a lot of cleaning and reworking the very small and delicate parts.

You are welcome Juergen! After finishing a 5 month project it's a great satisfaction to build something where the cockpit is already done after 2 days🙂

Don't say you are going to do your usual tour of madness now in 1/72!!😉 👍

![](/profiles/img/14143-361-s.jpg)
Fortunately it's a very simple plane and it's not going to be difficult🙂. In the net I found a half of dozen good pictures of the original. I found out that the kit is in little different in some places...

![](/profiles/img/21997-347-s.jpg)
Oih Bernhard, the one project is finished - and nearly immediately the next kit is glued together 👍 Weiter so!

I love days when I see something new - today I saw scratch-built bolts in 1/72... A rather good day I'd say😉 👍

Łukasz: there were no problems with the fit. As usual I used the CA of Tamiya and 0,0 gamms of putty.

![](/profiles/img/14143-361-s.jpg)
bughunter and Slavo: thx for nice words. In comparison with the Merlin this entire plane is less time consuming than the rotor.
Slavo: I found a very effective way to pick up and install small parts such discs of 0,35 mm round rod: new scalpel no 11

![](/profiles/img/13641-502-s.jpg)
Incredible detailing, I start love and hate your build at the same time😉 Where have you found such a nice pair of wheels?
21 March 2020, 12:03
![](/profiles/img/14143-361-s.jpg)
You are welcome Łukasz🙂 I'm not sure but I suppose they are the fun wheels of Academy's MiG-29... I dremeled logitulinal profiles with an scalpel ans riveted the profile in the other direction with my large riveting tool.

![](/profiles/img/14143-361-s.jpg)
21 March 2020, 13:23
![](/profiles/img/14143-361-s.jpg)
Bitte bitte bitte bitte bitte!
JMSDF-Markierungen🙂

![](/profiles/img/13136-468-s.jpg)
Great start on the Bellanca, Bernhard. Your attention to detail, and execution of the fixes is fantastic.
An Air Race GB sounds like great fun! I would like to do this kit in the Newfoundland-Copenhagen markings.

W "nowym" samolocie ten element jest biały i lekko odstający a w "starym" - metalowy zamek błyskawicznym pobrudzony klejem, czyli raczej brązowy.
Powodzenia. Jarek

Kolor poduchy czarny? chyba u ciebie czytałem. Trapezu już niema, a za to prostokąt.
Zrzut paliwa gdzie i jak? Zakrętki gdzie dokładnie?
Trojkąt dodam z grubszej kalkomanii i będzie chyba ok. Serdeczne dzięki. Jak coś jeszcze widzisz to „dawaj" 🙂
22 March 2020, 14:25
![](/profiles/img/user-s.jpg)
9) Wlot i wylot chłodnicy oleju. Pod siedzeniem pilotów była chłodnica oleju. Wlot z prawej strony kadłuba a wylot z lewej. Jednak w WARSAW te elementy miały przekrój koła, czyli "kolanka" hydrauliczne, wlotem raz do przodu a raz do tyłu.
22 March 2020, 15:27
![](/profiles/img/13641-502-s.jpg)
@Bernhard: Great progress 👍

![](/profiles/img/14143-361-s.jpg)
Jarekk: THX for the pictures via e-mail. Today morning downloaded. I think the light blue is ok for an Greece - blue. Yesterday I airbrushed the fuselage red and blue. Pictures coming soon. Now I had to rework oil cooler outlet on the left side.

(Question about copy rights of the Warsawa - plane pictures)
24 March 2020, 14:25
![](/profiles/img/user-s.jpg)

![](/profiles/img/14143-361-s.jpg)
Hi Łukasz, I used as usual Humbrols.
White: 50% HU 130 (white semi matt ) and 50% HU 196 (light grey semi matt).
Light blue: 80% HU 196 and 20% HU 190 (Blue Angels Blue gloss).
Red: 50% HU 19 (red gloss) and 50% HU 174 (red semi matt).
All decals are applied on semi matt surface without gloss varnish because in my opinion a 72 small civil plane looks like a toy when airbrushed with gloss varnish. I used successfully Mr Setter 232 to prevent silvering. Sealer clear, Testors.

Lovely colours and details on this beautiful little bird ! What is the story behind this one, first nonstop flight from New York to Warsaw ? Eye Candy as always, looks like quarterscale !

A beautiful model. Congratulations! I see you corrected the pilots seat. 🙂

Beautiful work Bernhard - a really simple basic shape, but then the "devil in detail" peeks out at you from some corner of the model in every picture... 🙂 And some of those details must be microscopic in real life... I particularly like the open side windows, with that position and super-thin material, they add a lot of life & scale-impression! Top job all over! 👍

![](/profiles/img/14143-361-s.jpg)
I just had the second cup of coffee and I'm happy the nice comments. Many of the details are indeed quite small but fortunately the Bellanca model is quite a large plane, and larger than f.e. Hughes H1 in 1:48.

![](/profiles/img/15126-378-s.jpg)
Wow, I just looked at the whole set of pictures thinking that it was a very nice build for the 1:48 Dora kit, then realized it was their 1:72 kit... Very well done indeed !!
