I´m working without magnifier or microscope, only with my eyeballs Mk.I. 😉
Although I´ve got to commit that the fences and figures inside the village where a little bit tricky this time..

Figures?! Surely you must be joking! I struggle painting figures in 1/48 and you do it in 1/2400! Do you have other super powers?

What brush do you use for painting the eyes of figures in 1/2400? Jokes aside I fell in love with the German description of the double sided scenary, very well written, and outrageously impressive diorama.

The figures are hardly more than a 0.7mm long piece of a 0.1mm diameter copperwire.
So the only painting needed for a sailor is white and a llittle flesh for the head. 😉

Ich gestehe, dass die kleinen Modelle von GHQ wirklich Suchtpotential bergen.
Dazu kommt noch, dass mit jedem Mal bei mir der Ehrgeiz wächst, ein wenig komplexer zu werden, um einfach das Optimum aus den Möglichkeiten herauszuholen.
So geht es mir mittlerweile doch darum, dass solch ein Schiff halt nicht "im Vakuum" existieren soll, sondern halt immer in der Interaktion mit seiner Umgebung.

Aus verschiedenen Gründen habe ich mich dazu entschlossen, dieses Mal zwei Zerstörer zu verbauen und zwar einen 1934er sowie einen 1936er.
Beide finden sich dabei in einer Umgebung wieder, die zwar jeweils gewisse Parallelen aufweist, aber doch sehr unterschiedlich, bzw. gegensätzlich ist.

Darstellen wollte ich einen Sachverhalt, um den (hoffentlich) jeder weiß, der aber m.M.n. nur allzu häufig außer acht gelassen wird.
Ein guter Freund hat es da so treffend auf den Punkt gebracht, dass ich mir erlaube ihn hier einmal in Auszügen zu zitieren:
