Nice one again Ulf, did you get the sandy wheelspin effect with cotton wool??? 👍

Thank you guys!🙂
Yes, I just twitched the cotton into shape first then fixed it with hair spray. After drying I colored it with airbrush, carefully with very thin color and low pressure.

It's an impressive effect Ulf, I've never had that kind of result, when I've used it... for!!!
I've tried getting the rooster tail effect, of the rain sodden track being thrown up from behind the rear wheels of F1 cars. Without much luck I'm affraid!!!
Maybe it's because sand is more solid and denser than water🤔
If anyone has any ideas of how to get those little rooster tails from the rear wing, please tell😢

Steve have you a photo of a good example of the rooster tail effect ?
I've only seen water effects on ships which is quite different.

Steve, I gues that's the problem: the different density of spume and sand.
Pascal, thank you!🙂

Album info

Hello mates,

here I show you the second of my Paris-Dakar vignettes, a Honda NXR 750, the winner machine of 1986 piloted by Cyril Neveu.

This vignette I built in the 1990s as well but the effort was much higher compared to my BMW!

The kit did not contain a pilot figure. But as I definetely wanted to present this bike in an action scene I acquired Tamiyas "Jumping Moto Cross Rider" that was still available that time.

The figure was treated with a coping saw (!) and masses of two-component adhesive in order to make it fit to the rallye bike that was wider and higher compared to a Moto Cross bike. I attached a new head with the right helmet from the spare part stock and a tool belt formed of Miliput.

As there were no decals available for an authentic pilot I painted all the sponsor logos and miscellaneous labels in juvenile carefreeness by hand which is of course easy to notice when looking at the pictures.

For the vignette I had a matching board edge-laminated at the home store and made the ground with st
