Takom Merkava 2D

Construction - Was a Delight to put together - Respectable number of pieces without going overboard... Clean Fits, Tight Tapers on Road Wheels and incredibly crisp detail... Replaced some of the fine handles and grab rails with Copper Wire... Used Tamiya Basic Putty diluted to emulate cast textures in some places... 

Colour Modulation with Tamiya paints and Mr Leveling Lacquer Thinners - Modulation was a little bleak and too monotone intially - Abteilung 502 Olive Green Filter applied to richen the overall greenish hue... Details picked out with Vajello Iraqi Sand, DEck Tan and Buff 

Oil Render and Dot Filters applied using Abteilung 502 Oils... Mulitutde of Oil Filters applied to individual panels and here and there to give more visual interest and readability...Light Blues transformed this quite significantly as did pinks and magenta... Was really happy with this initial colour...
Vajello Buff and Deck Tan used as a primary chipping colour applied by sponge... Then brush chipping to emphasis the shape and density all over... Vajello German grey secodary chipping layer was then added inside the primary chipping colour....
