An-26 'Curl' - Amodel

I once built one of these aircraft in a smaller scale (1:144), so it is time to build this iconic freighter a bit bigger - as soon as I finish some of my other ongoing projects.

Since this kit depicts the late version (actually the RR-version, but without the added stuff it is just a standard transport version), I plan to build it as number 405 from the Hungarian 'Teve' (Camel) airlift squadron at the 59th Air Base at Kecskemét. I initially wanted to do it as a standard gray NATO aircraft, but I have now decided to do the special anniversary paint from 2004 instead.
