Thomas TMelgg, wotsch wieder de Föifer und s Weggli 🙂 This is Swiss saying, 'you want the dime and the roll'. However, Melchior, it looks fine even if the kit is oddly shaped. With pleasure I'll keep an eye on your project, keep on moving, ehm, rotating!

Melgg LütschgLäärs Brot isch äu nüd alles 😉 Now started with the main rotor hub, quite simple out of box but the paint job will do the rest... Biggest headache at the moment: The fuselage is a tail-sitter, so I'll drill a hole in the nose landing gear housing and put some filler in.

Thomas TMelchior, did you try, is it a tailsitter even with the rotor assembly inserted? This is obviously an additional weight in front of the main wheels. If this does not help, you maybe want to have a look at that:

I heard, it is good, however I never used it myself, so this is second hand information. It is maybe a bit more handy than putty or filler. However, I always use white glue to keep the weights in place, I've seen pictures of CA glue reacting with the lead (especially) which results in very ugly (long term) damages of your plastic parts that are often not to repair. I wish you success, your work so far is definitely worth the effort!

Album info
Started as an out of box built, it soon developed to a filler orgy. The proportions of the Trumpeter kit are good in general, but there are some bigger mistakes, e.g. shape of upper cowlings, shape of sliding doors, shape of windows, exhausts.
