The dorsal fin extension was fashioned from sheet styrene.

The compressibility flaps were also added from sheet styrene. I still need to scrounge up a landing light for the wing tip.

The decals called for a Curtiss asymmetrical prop. Having none in the stash, I used a spare Curtiss paddleblade prop from a Tamiya razorback kit and reshaped the blades to approximate the asymmetrical profile.

My Thunderbolt collection so far. The razorbacks are the Monogram kit on right, done in the late 90s, and the Hasegawa on left, done in the early 00s.

Thanks for the kind words! I did keep weathering to a minimum on these two - some oil and exhaust stains and a bit of dirt on the tires. This was an artistic decision, as I didn't have good photo references showing the condition of the subject aircraft.
