This one is something I'd like to do one day. It was actually commissioned into the US Navy after the war as a destroyer (rather than simply a war prize). Going to start looking for deals on the components.

As I am from Germany I will build my one one day in the late war configuration. I´m thinking of a fitting out for action dio lying at the naval harbor of Kiel.

That sounds like a good project. I'll definitely keep an eye out for that one. If you are doing a late war fit, you should check out some of the different US Navy photo archives. They have some good photos of the ship in the US after the war.

I have this kit to build, so I am very interested in this project.

Maybe we all should make a groupbuild in the future covering Z-39 ???

That'd be something fun and different!
