Kind of a hard kit to get a hold of because it's quite popular.
Pretty good kit, fit was good. Instructions were typical Dragon (a few glaring errors) but with the help of the build log (armorama.com/modules..id=112576&page=1 ; which also has some errors) I worked through it without too much cussing or bodily injury. This is much unlike the Dragon 88 #6260 which left me full of self-doubt and unable to perform as a man for a short period of time. Not the kind of thing I care to admit, but its true.
I've got the Mk IV pretty much built except the tracks (not my favorite sub assembly).
Let the games begin.
Time to put the PE Schurzen on this thing.
I’ll put the frames on then start painting. Paint scheme is Panzer Gray.
Step back, send the kids out of the room, I’ve got the soldering iron fired up!

Any plans to do a winter scheme?

..Winter scheme? Nope, I want to do a straight panzer grey. I?ve done a Tiger 1 with a white wash over panzer grey but I have no simple panzer grey AFV?s in my collection plus I really want to play around with oil paints.
After the trouble I had getting the right look with a Tri-Color soft edge camo. Scheme (another Tiger 1) I feel that I need to go back to a mono-color to rethink my oil painting??..
By the looks of this kit, it may be a while before any paint is shot, so who knows? I might change my mind!

Really not much to see......BUT, I do have a rare THREE days off of work in a row, so I may be able to make some real progress provided I abandon a few responsibilities....[img1]

Sad you dont do the winter camo! 🙁
I thought you would make a scene like on the cool Boxartwork perhaps.
I stay tuned ,Mate!

I was thinking of adding some Panzer Grenadiers in an aggressive mood for a small diorama, just sans winter scheme...........
And some recent thread mentioned "The Bug", which is what I use. Here is why I prefer the Bug over other PE bending tools. It does double duty as a piece holder to sand off burrs.....simply mount your rotary tool somehow and grip the piece with the Bug (saw this method somewhere on the web).[img1]

I was going to say that this is the best kit I've made in terms of fit and instruction reliability. I WAS going to say that until I hit Step 4. Here two pieces were reversed and this mistake was also missed in the great Armorama build log @ armorama.com/modules..id=112576&page=1.
Here's where I'm at:[img1]
