V-1 Flying Bomb

Project designed to help hone my airbrushing skills.

- Built bomb and dolly as separate pieces, with mould lines removed and seams all fixed up.

19/05/2023
- Full coat of Vallejo Metal Color on the dolly using zenithal method grading from dark aluminium to white aluminium.

20/05/23
- Layer of chipping medium on the dolly then some dark and light greens in a random pattern, finished to a worn painted metal look.
- Bomb painted in a custom mixed luftwaffe blue underneath and custom mixed mid-green on top with a rough oscillating pattern on the side to form the undertone.

- Finished up base colours on the rocket and achieved desired panel tones

- Metalwork, red exhaust interior, gloss coat and decals

23/05/23
- Second gloss coat over the decals

24/05/23
- Panel edge highlighting, panel lining and final matte dust to bring the shine down
