A nice feedback for something that was just a quick project😁

Chan Li
Just nice!
Haha but I figure how a proper weather could it be? In universe space without air 😁

Starbase101
@Chan Li - They do enter atmosphere on occasion, as seen in the horrid last 3 movies of the saga, and we all know the "weather" effects of re-entry so it's not such a stretch for these fighters to have some scorching. The freshly-built and launched from an Imperial Cruiser or Death Star and flown only in space would look different than those having survived a firefight or flown through an atmosphere.

Chan Li
Haha, yes very convincing!

Now I'm totally agreed! @Starbase101, 😎

Oh yes Chan, you raised a good point😉
And than you Starbase for your explanation😄
Thank you both for raising the issue, i actually didn't think about this fact.
I've seen a few articles on Star Wars themes already and thought it was time to try one of my own.
However, it was only intended as a quick fun program and didn't spent much time for planning.

However, thx guys👍

Great result.
I love your weathering technique very much, also on such topics like Star Wars. 👍

The weathering on this one is absolutely realistic! As much as you can speak of realistic in a space opera 😉

Album info

The TIE fighters have always been one of my favorites in the Star Wars genre.
Even if I prefer the classic ones, I have opted for the slightly more "sporty" looking variant.
This is actually my Tie second fighter, the first one was still made of Lego.
And it's also my first trip into space 🙂
Hopefully my interpretation can convince...

I made the base myself from glass.
It consists of five seperat parts, which were printed on the back by means of digital printing, glued together by a special UV bonding technic which then sanded and polished the edges accordingly.

A nice kit (Revell, 03603) for quick building and good opportunities for painting.
The fit of the parts was perfect and there wasn´t too much to clean on the parts.
The kit was built directly out of the box without conversions or anything else.
