I suppose you did some aftermarket detailling too or was this build out of the box. Really like your color modulation. The chipping techniqes looks good. I only think, that it is a bit too much for a modern tank. Those modern paint chip much much less.

No aftermarket... Straight out of the box - just replaced the grab rails with copper as they are really fine and easily broken...
Yes - Overly done... This was a bit of an experiment after watching NightShift on Youtube... Its good practice for building patience and accuracy isnt what i was aiming for - Was wanting to go beaten up and rusted out as this sort of finish has always fascinated and eluded me... lol

Mr James
Your excellent shading comes out again. The application of mud is very well done. A brilliant build again

hi. i like your Merkava. the rust effect first look a bit too much, however after applying mud it levels. Have you done rust with just one color or several?

Cheers Mr James... Always kind words from yourself...

Hey Audrius N... Rust was done with 2 colours, Ammo light rust wash and AK's Rust streaks... And very much overly done to as you say... But I've learnt that subsequent layers will tone previous ones down, so I pre-empted thus by slapping the Rust on before blending... It will.alwso depend at what stage of the paint you wanna do such techniques...

Agree with Mr James - a thoroughly well done Merkava!

Top notch! - The description "1983 Yom Kippur War" is misleading. The Yom Kippur War was in 1973 and there were no Merkavas deployed then.

Cheers Neuling... You'd know better than myself... I just model things... lol... I think this comes up from allocating the kit and Paint scheme from your inventory... It should be patt of the instruction sets given paint schemes...But it could be incorrect... None the less... Cheers for the compliment
