After the "Birdcage"-Corsair I also finished the later F4U-1a from Tamiya. The model was complete riveted and build with a new Cockpit (an old Verlinden-Set with instrument board from Yahu), flaps in up position from Ultracast, etch parts from eduard and resin wheels from Attack Squadron. The markings for the well known "Big Hog", flown by Tommy Blackburn the Skipper of VF-17, are mainly from Techmod together with decals from the Kit, AJ-Press and EagleCals. The painting was mainly done with Tamiya-Colors.
