Not bad..you have good ideas! I like what your doing, We all have experimented for years, in time you will be more pleased by what you learn here at Scalemates and other places. Don't be afraid to add more colors to things, nothing is perfect! Multiple colors will wake up anything. Between washes, washes with pastel chalks, hair spray and salting tricks and who knows what else you'll find. Don't be afraid to ask how someone got "that look" most are more than willing to help. Happy modeling!

What I do is to try one new thing with each build. This one was mostly about shed. Which paint is best, moss buildup etc. Also ground work, combining couple of things I tried earlier. As for multipaint scheme I'll do that later. Better to work single colour, easer to fix and do.

That's pretty impressive Luka. I haven't done a dio yet but if I did this I think I'd be pretty happy with it. Trumpeter have some good kits, for example their Hetzer Starr is a little beauty. However, if you are not happy with it as it is right now, don't think of it as "finished". Skills improve, and in a year you might look at it and know exactly how to finish it. Tim just talked me into trying pastels and I am having fun playing with some old styrene and a brush. Possibilities are endless!

I love Dio's and your off to a good start! Your doing what you're comfortable with and that's good. My weakness is painting figures so I have to get back to that. Keep up the good work. Peter you gotta do one your imagination can have fun! Start off like Luka did with the small ones.

So-so satisfied. The gun itself was far from best kit I build. I'm getting increasingly turned off Trumpeter and will build what I have in stash but will avoid it in future. Figures are good but not really appropriate for this gun. They are ment for 76mm and 57mm calibres and it shows. Did what I could to adapt, but...... Did work on base and shed a bit and tried some new things so that's that..... Done with acrylics and tried to keep weathering to a minimum.
