Thanks! It's very tiny. This was my test kit before I jump to a 1:32 scale Fokker Dr.I. I've never tried making faux leather or wood grain before.

Even more impressive if it's you first attempt at wood effect Nathan. I'm doing it for the first time as well (on a Raiden propeller) but as I only have one brown oil paint, I'm attempting to do it with dry brushing acrylics. Your 'leather' also looks good - I have tried doing leather once before using the 'tissue' method, to give the plastic some texture - with mixed results, probably need more practise. I have made a note of your paining method and will definitely try it out next time, so thanks.

I'll let you know how the propeller goes, and try to document the process

Propeller images have been added. All tamiya paints, I used desert yellow then cut small strips of masking tape with only a hairline gap. Then airbrushed red brown for the grain. I sealed with a 50/50 of clear yellow and clear orange, hand brushed on thick with a really soft brush. It worked great. The last step has been mounting the guns and I'll take some
Pics of the finished model soon.

The propeller has turned out very well Nathan. It helps that you've done it in Tamiya paints, because that is the only paint I have. It's only decent paint that is stocked in the local shops.

It's good fun! Some of the fit isn't the best but I enjoyed it🙂
