Heavy Metal or no Metal at all...😢

This is just a testbed for anything but i like the "Shades of Green". And this build is oob straight outta the box, not Even scratching!
Thanks Hanno!🙂

Its by far not finished but the fit was really cool, especially the running gear and this kit is well engineered. Only the kit tracks are horrible stiff... Thank you Hunter!

Holger, am I imagining things, or did you base coat this beast with 'steel' before the green. ?
11 June 2015, 14:04
Holger Kranich
Hi Kerry! No, i post-shaded the green and gave it a (too heavy) washing. I like the result, single colored vehicles are not easy to paint...😉

Hunter Cummins
No they are not Holger, but oil paints can make it easier!!

really nice natural feel to this one 🙂

Yes Choppa, and all armoured vehicles have that 'metallic' look from their first day in the units, and this is one that looks like it's been around a while, like she has had a few hands and boots on her. :-/

How do you weather a tank that is finished in Armour sand? What do you use?
13 June 2015, 20:14
Hunter Cummins
Clifford, mau
y I answer your question?
13 June 2015, 21:51
Holger Kranich
Hunter, if you can answer, please do because i dont know what "Armour sand" is...

Does it mean, painted in a desert camo, Cliffy?
14 June 2015, 05:52
Hunter Cummins
Holger, I will as best I can and yes holger it is desert camo, its the color modern U.S tanks and vehicals use. He is doing an m1a1 abrams tank from desert storm

Clifford Keesler
Yes Hunter you can answer my question.

Hunter Cummins
Thanks clifford,
So, a medium brown wash , then do a tan/dusty colprd filter for dust, then very light chipping with a very dark brown acrylic paint (or what ever kind you use) then then apply the dust filter used before on the upper parts of the tank, and apply it on the tracks and the running gear, if you want any more effects, just ask, all of these products come as a set with the correct paint color for the tank itself aswell by Mig Ammo
