Cool! Are you in Massachusetts? I went to a model show in Gloucester and I remember seeing this exact tank.

Nice! I like the weathering and chipping, especially the damaged zimmerit on the right front that damaged the cross with it. The decals settled into the zimmerit nicely too.

Thanks for the compliments, everyone! I really appreciate them! The decals are dry transfers from Archer. The kit decals wouldn't settle into the zimmerit at all. The zimmerit is hand-applied with milliput and the trumpeter zimmerit tool. It was a complete pain, but I think it turned out nicely. Thanks again! Oh, and Brandon, no I'm not from Massachusetts. I've never been to any shows either. I just tinker in my basement. 🙂

For the Decals try: decal solvent from testors/modelmaster. It "sucks" the decal on to the surface.

Thanks! I tried the modelmaster decal solvent and it didn't really help. The decals in this kit seemed pretty thick and stiff. I didn't end up using any of them.

Soak the surface gently. A very thin Layer won't do. And wait a few hours.
It didn't work for me for the first time. Keep experimenting.

Is this exact tank really well known? The one I saw looked exactly like yours. No differences from what I remember.

It's known, yes. Not a famous Wittman or Barkmann tank, but it shows up in several photos of Normandy and the Bulge. See here. http://www.network54.com/Forum/47207/thread/1128661608/Likely+fate+of+Pz+Lehr's+Panther+%26quot%3B200%26quot%3B
