Jay Mountain GoatVery nice indeed. The finish on this Tomcat looks effective to the point of photo realism - I suspect the understated panel lines have something to do with that - they're not very visible and that works very well.

Boris RakicThanks again 🙂 I uploaded some more pics which hopefully do show my painting process a bit better. Basically, I preshaded the whole airframe with flat black, trying to avoid that checkerboard look you often get when religiously shading every single panel line. The cammo colors (FS36320, FS35237) where sprayed on rather patchy and heavily thinned, using Life Color Acrylics. Then I went over rivets, fasteners, and some panel lines with the next lighter grey tone (e.g. FS36320 over the FS35237 ), freehanding the corosion control so often seen on Navy planes. The whole process took me about a day, I would guess.
I did apply washes only in selected areas, mainly on the underside of the airframe where you will often see brownish streaks from spilled hydraulic fluid.
