Erik LeijdensThanks mates, she is finished now buy you all have to wait for some decent RFI pictures since this was a OOB review build for the Dutch IPMS magazine. First the model has to be published.

Erik LeijdensAdded some end pictures, will be article somewhere soon. This was a nice OOB build, reasonably good kit. I like the F-5's from AFVCLUB, much more refined.

Erik LeijdensWelcome mates! Since Dora Wings will release a brand new Beaver sometime this or next year this Hobbycraft kit has to be build before that happens, otherwise it will never leave the stash I'm afraid! This kit is very simple, the clear fuselage is a bit of challenge too. Masking on the inside but also I have to create some extra windows which are missing on the fuselage side and top.
Let's see how this goes..

Erik LeijdensWell Jos, they didn't. In fact, nor did the airforce! The Beavers were the property of the army but flown and maintained by airforce personal. IIRC they were part of 334 squadron and this particular machine was on loan to Leeuwarden AB to serve as a utility aircraft. The other side shows the emblem of 322 squadron. But I can be wrong!

Erik LeijdensFunny; the kit comes with 2 pitot tubes, one on each wingtip but the Lansen clearly had only a pitot tube on the right wing. Even Master provides 2..! So 1 hole on the wing has to be filled.

I have done a stripdown ion 1:72, so I should also build one in 1:48. But I will wait for decals for a yellow one with the Cub teddy 😉

Alex K@ bughunter - just in case: The Draw Decal "Piper J-3 Basic Markings" set Piper J-3 Cub Basic Markings (Draw Decal 72-DET-08, 1:72) is also available in 1:32 and 1:48: drawdecal.com/produc..-cub-basic-markings/ - just saying... (would love to see you tackle another Cub, after your stripdown one and following your Storch!)

Sorry, my posting was not clear enough. The Stripdown in 1:72 is finished long: Soldered Strip down Piper L-4 | Album by bughunter (1:72) So a normal Piper in 1:48 would be a nice addition.
