Lochsa River ...off this goes....note the instructions for the 1954 older ITC model have the float position correct. Several other modelers looked into this and explicitly said the correct position is in the instructions for the ITC kit and, by golly, they match up to the pin holes in the wing...pretty easy decision....

Lochsa River ...Make sure your hoses are not kinked in any way...a 60PSI clear hose here got twisted and blew out, even though it was getting at most 45PSI from the first regulator...new hoses, with more careful routing this time, are being attached....
Lochsa River .....the Vega is a history challenge because the more u see the more the kits struts make some historical sense...the kit is an amalgam of various stage and varieties of Vegas...and there are many....actually found a place in Alaska that will sell you floats and a detailed description of how it attached to a Vega or Vegas....if it ever arrives, it will get a photo here for sure...thank you, as always...

Lochsa River ...after trying to duplicate "Buff" naval color with the paints on hand....a decision was made to buy some...AK Buff color paint was the choice...meanwhile....deck planking is underway....
somehow...this first Metal Earth project chosen was in the "Challenging" category....and it was......but, armed with a cool new set of pliers from Micro-Mark...the next Metal Earth kit will be awesome (i hope)

...but, looking at the difference in scribed and unscribed lines is showing that detail can't be left out of any project in the future...the lines need a little attention....the rudders look fine and the other lines, that were not scribed...are sorta messy....lesson learned i hope...

I'm in the middle of building mine, but have spent the last few hours removing the parts from the plugs and otherwise cleaning them up. Your pictures are very helpful.
