German Night Fighter

This is the German version of the British Mosquito known as the Moskito. Started in 1942, with a limited production run of just 37 aircraft. Shown here in an interesting camo scheme for a night fighter.

Kit was built out of the box. Fit wasn't really good and required some putty work. As this was a tricycle landing gear design, the weighting of the aircraft was a challenge. I was finally able to fit two pine box derby weights into the nose. In addition, I added several pine box derby weights into the cowlings. The radar antenna were a bit large for the 1/72 scale, but I chose to use them anyway.
