In 2012 I bid very little on ebay as a joke, the seller then cancelled the auction and sent me the kit. I wrote a kit introduction and put the kit in the stash.
On the other hand, the Stork has always fascinated me because of its flight characteristics. In my days as an RC helicopter pilot I once saw a big model (1:3 or 1:4) that landed on a bale of straw and took off again.
This type of aircraft had a lasting effect on the development of helicopters and I like such milestones of development.
Furthermore, this model was the 100th kit from Tamiya and they pulled out all the stops. For example, the clear parts and the grey fuselage are moulded in one. Of course, this fascinated me from a modelling point of view. Since I didn't want a model with a swastika, I was very pleased with the international edition of the kit.

Richie, you are right! The identical scale allows a comparison and yes, the Storch is huge, even compared to other two seaters.
