S.E.5a B139
No.111 Sqaudrone, Palestine 1918

In 2017 I got the brand new Royal kit from my wife for my birthday (damn, that was 5 years ago? Where did the time go?). Later I got also some additional accessories from Eduard.
At that time I have done a night fighter at first, but the Royal kit contains two complete kits. So now it is time to do the second one. The kit and accessories are so great and has so much details that this will again an oob built.

The second SE.5a should differ as much as possible from the first one, so that was the conditions:
- Hispano-Suiza engine with matching radiator and reduction gear
- 4-blade airscrew
- robust wooden undercarriage instead of the steel pipes
This time with GasPatch RAF terminals (not yet available for the first build).
The kit offers 13 options, but none matches my conditions. The plan was then to do SE.5a B4891 flown by McCudden (the kit offers his B4863), but more modifications are needed (e.g. a spinner of a LVG)
But I came accross a painting and changes my plan to B139 (also not offered by the kit)
