Hello ! This is my interpretation of the Pucara, Kinetic 1/48.
The kit is very well detailed, with very thin engraving and numerous details. The assembly is basically straightforward, with little use of the putty.
There is a few flaw, unfortunately :
- The assembly notice is very poor and certainly not at the expect level for such a kit and brand
- The painting references are minimum, with barely no indication except for the external fuselage
- The stencils are not numbered on the sheet..... while the notice use some number to show were the stencils should be placed.
- You need a huge amount of weight (to be located were you can...) to avoid the kit to stand on his back.... like mine is doing now.... I' would say that I' should have double the weight (some people mention having used nearly 100g !!)
It's a pity, considering the quality of the plastic parts, that Kinetic did not manage to propose a decent notice... Once again...too much hurry, too much rush to present and sell new kits.... in the end it's detrimental to the image of the Kinetic brand I'think.
Anyway, I'like the look of this plane... and also this plane is using the last Turboprop engine made by my company.... a long time ago...
